Eastern Wake EMS, formerly Knightdale, Wendell, Rolesville and Zebulon EMS, was formed in July 2005. We are contracted by Wake County to provide 911 emergency services to these communities at the paramedic level. We staff 7 paramedic level peak-load ambulances 12 hours per day. Our staff consists of a Director, 2 Assistant Chiefs, 4 District Chiefs, Executive Secretary, 50iii full-time employees, 18 part-time employees and several volunteers. All of our staff are dedicated trained professionals that provide high quality patient care to the citizens of Wake County.
Board of Directors
Eastern Wake EMS Inc. is a private non-profit organization that has over site by a Board of Directors. The Director of the organization is responsible for the day-to-day operations and the financial affairs of the organization. The Director reports to the Board of Directors, which sets the financial and personnel policies for the department. The Board consists of 7 members from within the community. There is at least one representative from the communities of Knightdale, Rolesville, Wendell, and Zebulon and at least one member must have an accounting background.
